The third edition of the TRAIL RUN GORAFE DESERT 2019 (PUNTAL TRAIL) race, will be held on September 22nd, 2019 covering a distance of 11,7 kilometers, in which anyone over 16 years old can participate.

1.- Registration and fees

The PUNTAL TRAIL 2019 has a maximum number of 500 race slots, wich can be purchased only by internet through the official website and
until all places are sold out. Registered candidates will automatically appear on the participants list upon completing the payment.

Fees and registration deadlines:

From March 28th to July 31st, 2019
· General registration: 21 €
· Federated participants: 16€

From August 1st to September 19th, 2019
· General registration: 25 €
· Federated participants: 21 €

The Registration Fee Includes:
· Medal for the first three runners men and women in the general classification and in all the categories.
· T-shirt commemorative DESIERTO DE GORAFE for all the registered in the PUNTAL TRAIL.
· Gift bag.
· Medical services and ambulance.
· Civil liability insurance.
· Official timekeeping and live following.
· Solid and liquid aid stations during the race and finishing point.
· Finisher medal exclusive DESIERTO DE GORAFE for those runners that complete the race inside the time established by the Organization (2h).
· Cloackroom service.
· Physiotherapist service in the finish area.
· Shower service.

2.- Route

The race start at the Plaza de la Constitución of Gorafe and ascends along the Cuesta de Gor, which winds its way up until reaching the emblematic ¨Llano de Olivares¨, where we will follow a practically flat route until we reach the Puntal de Bácor. With a length of 11, 7 kilometers and a positive gain of 244 m. The participants must follow the path marked by the organization. It will be marked with beacons and kilometric references, being obligatory to pass through the established controls.

3.- Race bib collection

Includes Race Bib plus the Runner’s Bag and the Official T-shirt.
The collection will be made in the House of Culture of Gorafe:
· Saturday, September 21st from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm
· The same day as the race from 7:30 am to 8:30 am
Each runner must identify himself with his ID or Passport.
Race bib changes are not allowed under any circumstances.

4.- Impossibility of participation

You can request the withdrawal with the right to refund the registration fee before August 22nd:
· Returning the money less 3 €
As of August 22nd, nothing will be returned of the amount paid.

5.- Categories

Junior: from 16 to 22 years old.
Senior: from 23 to 39 years old.
Veterans / as:
· 1: from 40 to 50 years old.
· 2: from 51 to 60 years old.
· 3: from 61 to 70 years old.
· 4: more than 71 years old.

6.- Race bib

Bib number:
· Determined randomly.
Name of the participant:
· The name of the participant may appear on the bib.
Behind the bib:
· Race profile
· Telephone numbers to call in case of emergency.
· There will be a blank space where the runner may write information relevant for the medical personnel in case of emergency or loss of consciousness. This information may be the RH blood type, or any relevant medical condition suffered by the participant such as allergies, AIDS, epilepsy, diabetes, celiac disease, etc.
The race bib should be worn on the chest throughout the race, clearly visible and above the clothing.

7.- Time control

The Timing Sense system guarantees the timing at the finish line.
There will also be an intermediate timing point at the 5th kilometer.
The chip will be stuck to the tag.

8.- Time and start area

Start at 9.30 am.
The race bib defines the grouping and order in output.
To be in the starting area prior to the one that appears on the race bib will be grounds for disqualification.

9. Authorized vehicles

The only vehicles that will be able to follow the race will be those authorized by the Organization.
It is totally forbidden to follow the runners in any type of vehicle with wheels.

10.- Drop out and evacuation

Participants may only drop out at aid stations, unless the runner is injured or hurt. Any runner who wishes to drop out must personally notify his/her decision to withdraw to the aid station supervisor, who will identify the runner and invalidate his/her race tag number and take care of the decision as to the procedure of returning to the starting point.

11.- Accident assistance

The participants are obliged to help the victims who need help, within their own abilities and knowledge. As well as report any mishap at the aid stations points. Failure to do so would imply committing a felony for omitting to provide relief, stipulated by law.

12.- Cloakroom service

The Organization will have a cloakroom service where the participants can deposit their belongings. They will not be responsible for the objects placed in it.

13.- Aid station and assistance

Aid stations in the starting area, at km 5 and at the finish line.
Medical assistance posts at Km 5 and at the finish line.

14.- Maximum time. Control of finish

The maximum time to cross the finish line will be 2 hours, so that those who exceed the established time limit will not be included in the final classification.
A broom vehicle will be available to pick up runners who can not continue the race, and must ride on it to ensure that no one is left behind out of control.
The person in charge of the vehicle will withdraw the bib number from any retired participant.

15.- Awards

The first 3 ranked men and women to cross the finish line in each category will receive, in order, gold, silver and bronze medals.
Commemarative medal to all runners who cross the finish line in the established time (2 h).

16.- Services at the finish line

Liquid and solid food.
Medical services.
Commemorative photo.

17.- Medical assistance and insurance

Medical assistance will be covered mainly by Civil Protection of Guadix and URGE D.E.S.A.
The registered athletes will have insurance that will cover the injuries caused as a direct result of the race.

18.- Classification certificate

Once the classification is final, participants will receive a Classification Certificate by e-mail with their position in the general race and by category.

19.- Environment care

The participants are asked to take maximum consideration of the environment.
The course runs along mostly desert landscapes of great natural beauty, so it will be everyone’s obligation to preserve the environment avoiding littering outside the control areas.
Failure to comply with this elementary rule will be grounds for disqualification.

20.- Declaration of physical fitness and disclaimer

Registration implies the acceptance of the regulations and adequate preparation of the participant for the race, being aware of the difficulty of the geographical conditions that can be found in the environment of the event.
In this sense, the participant also declares that he is physically and psychologically prepared to make an effort with these characteristics and that he has performed the medical tests appropriate to his age and physical characteristics.
Runners registered for the race understand that they participate voluntarily and under their own responsibility and, therefore, exonerate the Organization from any responsibility for the race, and agree not to bring a lawsuit against the organizing entity, collaborators, sponsors and other participants. Furthermore, they will not initiate any claim of civil liability towards the aforementioned parties.
For these purposes, it will be obligatory to download from the INSCRIPTIONS section the “declaration of physical fitness and disclaimer of responsibility”, complete it and deliver it at the moment of the collection of the tags.

21.- Race cancellation

If the event is cancelled due to force majeure more than 7 days before the start date, the registration fees will be partially refunded. The amount refunded will depend on the date of the suspension and the amount that the Organizer has already spent on non-refundable costs.
If the event is cancelled for reasons beyond the Organizer’s control within 7 days before the start or if the event is suspended after having started, no registration fees will be refunded.

22.- Image rights

The right to take a personal image is recognized in article 18.1 of the Spanish Constitution and regulated by Law 5/1982 of May 5th as to the right to one’s honor, personal and family privacy, and to one’s own image, as well as in the application of the Organic Law 15/1999 of Protection of Personal Data, of December 13. The acceptance of this regulation necessarily implies that the participant authorizes the Organization and whoever it gives leave it, to take photographs and film their participation in the Trail Run Desert test of Gorafe 2018, and gives their consent for their dissemination, commercial use and advertising of all the images taken during the event, in which it is clearly identifiable, without the right of the broker to receive any financial compensation. In no case shall they be used for purposes other than those indicated herein. In any event, the participant may exercise the right of access, rectification and cancellation of their data in the field recognized by the aforementioned Organic Law of 15/1999 of December 13th, by sending an email to The Organization reserves exclusive rights to the images of the event. Any media or advertising project that exploits the image of the Trail Run Desert of Gorafe 2019 must have the organization’s consent.

23.- Data protection

In accordance with the provisions of the Organic Law 15/1999 of December 13th on Personal Data Protection, we inform you that your personal data will become part of a file with the purpose for the management, organization, realization and communication of sport events, the publication of results and ensuring the safety of participants. You are responsible for the veracity and accuracy of the data provided and you have the right to exercise your rights of access, rectification, cancellation and opposition of your data in the field recognized by the Organic Law 15/99 of December 13th.
